update

This week has been a loooong one- of course, that's because it's been like 10 days since I've actually emailed. 

Tuesday we had a great lesson with one of our investigators. His name is Patrick (I should probably start naming some of these people, so i don't make everything confusing.) He's really awesome, and he is progressing a lot in the gospel. He has a baptismal date set, but it's not for a little while. Wednesday we met with our other progressing investigator- Jackie. She is super amazing, and has been searching for this- the gospel, the truth- for her whole life. she is just the sweetest person and has so much love and spirit and spunk. hehe. She's just great. 

Saturday we did "Ammon's Academy." It was a stake youth activity, where the priest and laurel age youth go on splits with the missionaries for part of a day- we had them from about 8 AM to 5:30 PM. It was really cool! The girls we had were awesome, and it was cool to be able to get to know them and to share what we do with these girls that have desires to serve. We did studies together, some street contacting, (including running into and trying to give a pass-along card to a bunch of Jehovah's Witnesses that were doing precisely the same thing, haha. Except they were tracting- knocking doors.) and some lessons. It was a lot of fun- It would be an amazing opportunity for youth. I thinkthey did like a fireside the night before, as an intro into it, and then Saturday the youth went out with the missionaries, and there was probably another fireside to close. (I don't know- I was the missionary, haha).

* this is a little shorter of an update than we normally get. Her time was a little short due to all day training on Monday. The rest of her update was explaining about a car accident that she and her companion were in. They were t-boned Saturday night by a man that ran a red light. Both girls were shaken up but not hurt. Their car was not so lucky. She didn't want all of the details shared with everyone, however, I think she could use any extra prayers and good thoughts that you'd like to send her way. - Kristi
